Start your day on a natural high with this delicious, antioxidant-rich breakfast of moringa oats that you can whip up in minutes. Mix the night before with milk, honey, cinnamon and moringa leaf powder and refrigerate to wake up to a creamy, ready-to-eat breakfast. Enjoy chilled or heat through gently for a few minutes in a saucepan on top of the stove. Finish off with berries and coconut or other toppings of your choice. In a hurry? Soak overnight in a mason jar for a nourishing breakfast you can take with you.
Oats and moringa are both packed with vitamins, minerals, protein and anti-oxidants for reducing blood sugar, cholesterol levels and inflammation. The appetite-suppressing fibre beta-glucan in oats will keep you full until lunchtime!
Whisk all the ingredients, except the oats and berries, together in a medium-sized bowl until well combined. Add the oats and mix thoroughly.
Cover the bowl or transfer to a mason jar (or two for a lighter breakfast) and refrigerate overnight or for at least 2 hours until the oats soften.
Top with mixed berries and a drizzle of honey or other toppings of your choice before serving.
